 I created this site UrbexBaby to put my passion for Urban Exploration and Photography together and to share my ever growing collection of photographs of derelict and abandoned places.

I started exploring about 2 years ago after my love of photography pushed me out of my comfort zones and into the world of Urban Exploring. I wanted to capture something else with my camera, something special filled with history and atmosphere and jumping into this sometimes guarded world allowed me to do this.

Abandoned buildings have always interested me especially asylums and mental institutions, they are such a taboo subject within society even in this modern day and the stories their walls must hold fascinate me especially as they are now a dying breed with most been closed down and converted into housing.

People often ask me why I do it or what’s the point of putting myself in potentially dangerous situations and to be honest I don’t know. I suppose the satisfaction of having a collection of photographs that only a handful of people have plays a huge part in it but also testing the boundaries of my own confidence tied in with the rush and anticipation of potentially getting caught is the driving force behind it.

I try to go exploring quite regularly and keep a good selection of Urbex images to my name, so I hope you enjoy my work and follow me on my future adventures.
